THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg's Luke Kowalski (Derwood, Md./St. John's College) recorded four wins over two wins to finish seventh and earn All-America status at the NCAA Division III wrestling championship at the Berglund Center in Roanoke, Va.

THE LEADERS
• On Saturday, Luke Kowalski dropped his first match in the morning 14-8 to Concordia-Moorhead's Ty Bisek to drop to the seven-place bout. In that match, Kowalski earned a technical fall 18-0 just 12 seconds into the second period to officially become the program's first All-American since Paul Triandafilou in 2016. He is the first Bullet in a weight class under 157 to be an All-American in 44 years.
• On Friday, Kowalski had to wrestle into the main bracket in his first bout, recording a 1-minute, 56-second fall of Wisconsin-Whitewater's Dominik Mallinder. Kowalski then fell into the consolation bracket with a 6-3 setback to Cortland's Jayden Cardenas. In the consolation bracket, Kowalski topped Trinity (Conn.)'s Adam Schaeublin 17-3 and Wartburg's Joe Pins 14-10 to advance to Saturday's action.
