THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg dropped a pair of conference dual matches at the CC trimatch hosted by Ursinus. The Bullets started their day with a 31-9 loss to the hosts before battling within six points in a 27-21 loss to Merchant Marine.
THE LEADERS

Brendan Callahan (Woolwich Twp., N.J./Kingsway Regional) and
Luke Kowalski (Derwood, Md./St. John's College) won both of their weight class bouts, each with one decision and one major decision.

Gavin Pascoe (Schwenksville, Pa./Perk Valley) earned a decision at 157 in both contests.
FOR THE FOES
• Nils Updale won by fall at 197 for Ursinus.
• Tyler Withers of Merchant Marine notched a first period fall at 184.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• In Gettysburg's first match of the day against Ursinus, the Bears got on the board first with a decision at 125.
Brendan Callahan and
Luke Kowalski responded with decisions of their own at 133 and 141, respectively.
• A pin at 149 for Ursinus and another Gettysburg decision by
Gavin Pascoe 157 tied the match score 9-all.
• The Bears regained control with two consecutive technical falls at 165 and 174 followed by pins at 184 and 197.
• Ursinus closed out the match with a 6-4 decision at 285 for a 31-9 final.
• Against Merchant Marine, Colin Dragon and Callahan traded major decisions before the Bullets strung together four straight wins. At 141, Kowalski earned a major decision and
Ethan Composto (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) notched a second period fall at 149.
