THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg played a pair of matches to open the fall season and won both by 7-0 scores. The Bullets toppled York (Pa.) in the afternoon before traveling to Lebanon Valley for the nightcap.

Owen Kutlu (Mendham, N.J./West Morris Mendham) went 4-0 on the day to lead the Bullets.
FOR THE FOES
• The Spartans and Flying Dutchmen both took just one set in their respective matches.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Against York,
Connor McPartland (Furlong, Pa./Central Bucks East) and
Ben O'Connor-Skloot (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y./Dobbs Ferry) combined for a 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles to key a sweep that gave Gettysburg a 1-0 lead going to singles.
• McPartland made it a 2-0 day with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at third singles.
JP Damare (Raleigh, N.C./Cardinal Gibbons) and
Owen Kutlu also both had straight-set wins in singles to cap off 2-0 outings. After the duo combined for a 6-2 win at No. 1 singles, Kutlu won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2 singles and Damare took fourth singles, 6-2, 6-2.

Rex Bondi (Arlington, Va./Landon School) won 11-9 in a third-set tiebreaker to record his first collegiate win at No. 1 singles. He took the opening set 6-2 before Jason Lutz took the lone Spartan set, 6-4.
Malek Mustafa also notched his first win, taking fifth singles, 6-0, 7-5.
• Against Lebanon Valley,
Mikey Fellman (Rockville, Md./Thomas S. Wootton) and
Tyler Blanz (Glen Ridge, N.J./Glen Ridge) returned to the top of the lineup. The duo combined for a 6-4 win at first doubles. Fellman then won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 singles while Blanz was a 6-2, 6-1 victor at No. 2 singles.
• Kutlu and Damare combined for a 7-5 win at second doubles while
Teo Burgess (Rockville, Md./Wheaton) and
Matt Porreca (Blue Bell, Pa./La Salle College) won 6-1 at third doubles to secure the one point for doubles.
• Kutlu capped his 4-0 day with a 6-2, 6-2 win at fifth singles. O'Connor-Skloot split the first two sets with Jake Erb at No. 3 singles. He took the opening set 6-0 before Erb won 7-6 (7-5 in tiebreaker) but O'Connor-Skloot took the tiebreaker, 10-8.
• Bondi won 7-5, 6-3 at No. 4 singles while McPartland was a 6-2, 6-1 winner at No. 6 singles.
