THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked 12th in the latest D3hoops.com poll, outscored Washington (Md.) 12-2 over the final six minutes of the second quarter to build a 13-point halftime lead before closing out a 66-47 road win.

THE LEADERS
Alayna Arnolie (Vienna, Va./James Madison) led the Bullets with 19 points, six rebounds, three assists and six steals.
AB Holsinger (Charlottesville, Va./Langley) chipped in 11 points, four assists and five steals.

FOR THE FOES
• Kaitlyn Boggs was the only player to reach double digits for the Shorewomen, scoring 10 points to go with seven rebounds.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Trailing 2-1 in the opening minute of the game, Alayna Arnolie and Jameson Mott (Evergreen, Colo./Evergreen) combined to hit three 3-pointers on the next three possessions to take a 10-2 lead and force a timeout just 2:10 into the game. Seven straight Washington points closed the deficit to 13-11 before Kimberly Hopkins (Baldwin, N.Y./Sacred Heart Academy) hit the second of two free throws to halt a stretch of 3 minutes, 27 seconds without a point. Payton Berger and Kaitlyn Boggs, however, each hit layups on the next two possessions to give the hosts a 15-14 edge. An Arnolie steal-and-layup with 1:25 showing once again gave the Bullets a one-point edge. After Boggs scored on the other end, Hopkins got to the rim twice, including once off an Ava O'Neil (Chevy Chase, Md./St. John's College) steal and dish in the backcourt, in the final 38 seconds to give Gettysburg a 20-17 lead after one quarter.
• The Bullets scored the first four points of the second quarter to extend the run to 8-0 in just 98 seconds. The Shorewomen closed back to within 24-21 with 7:50 showing. After Reagan Chrencik (New Hope, Pa./New Hope-Solebury) and Boggs traded layups, five points from Arnolie and a Chrencik three-point play extended the lead to 34-23 for the first double-digit lead with 3:43 remaining. Karry Kelliher hit the hosts' lone field goal of the final 6:08 of the opening half to make it 34-25 but the Bullets netted the final four of the period to take a 38-25 advantage to the break.
• A Mott jumper and Arnolie pull-up two-pointer on the break extended the lead to 42-25 just 1:44 into the third quarter. After an Emma Robinson layup, Mott drained a triple and Skylar Reale (Warren, N.J./Morristown Beard) connected from short range to make it a 20-point game for the first time with 5:52 showing. Trailing 53-29, two Berger free throws with 2:35 remaining sparked an 8-0 run that closed the margin to 53-37 at the end of the third period.
• After Berger hit a 3-pointer from the wing, Mott halted the run at 11 straight when she hit a pair of free throws with 7:19 showing. After a Kiersten Rose jumper, Gettysburg scored 11 of the next 14 points before Taylor Shane set the final margin with four ticks remaining.

THE INSIDE STORY
Jameson Mott added 14 points, including hitting three 3-pointers, and grabbed four rebounds.
Shinya Lee (Rochester, N.Y./Holderness Prep School) recorded six points but also led the way inside with seven boards and four blocked shots.
• The Bullets went 11-for-13 from the free-throw line and forced the Shorewomen in 23 turnovers, nabbing 15 steals.
