Gettysburg places 78 on Fall Academic Honor Roll

LANCASTER, Pa. – Gettysburg had 78 fall student-athletes named to the Centennial Conference (CC) Academic Honor Roll, which was released on Tuesday.

Among those 71 student-athletes, Mary Huegel (Marlboro, N.J./Colts Neck) as named Scholar-Athlete of the Year and eight were also tabbed to the Academic All-Centennial team.

Mary Huegel (Marlboro, N.J./Colts Neck), a senior on the volleyball team, earned first-team all-conference honors and was named the Scholar-Athlete of the Year in the sport for the second straight year, holding the top GPA among all Academic All-Centennial selections.

In addition to Huegel, seven others were tabbed Academic All-Centennial team, which recognizes student-athletes who receive both all-conference and Academic Honor Roll honors.
Jillian Somers (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry Collegiate), a junior on the field hockey team, earned second-team all-conference honors.
Patrick McAuliffe (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton West), a senior on the football team, earned second-team all-conference honors.
James Blake (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East), a junior on the men's soccer team, earned honorable mention all-conference honors.
Liam Hedinger (Charlotte, N.C./Providence Day School), a sophomore on the men's soccer team, earned honorable mention all-conference honors.
Cole McCartney (Voorhees, N.J./St. Joseph's Prep), a senior on the men's soccer team, earned honorable mention all-conference honors.
Jane Daiutolo (Wayne, Pa./Randor), a senior on the women's soccer team, earned second-team all-conference honors.
Elise Fox (Westfield, N.J./Westfield), a senior on the women's soccer team, earned second-team all-conference honors.

To be nominated for the honor roll, a student-athlete must be of sophomore standing or higher and have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.40. The honored Bullets student-athletes are:
