FOR THE FOES
• Mia Chapman was the only player to reach double figures for the Red Devils, netting 11 points.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Trailing 3-0 after Clair Marion hit a 3-pointer just 1:08 into the game, Shinya Lee (Rochester, N.Y./Holderness Prep School) connected on layups on back-to-back possessions for a 4-3 edge. A Jameson Mott pull-up jumper and triple stretched the lead to 9-3 with 5:33 on the clock. The lead remained between four and six points until a 4-1 burst stretched the advantage to 17-8 in the final 71 seconds of the quarter. Dickinson, however, hit two 3-pointers in the final minute to close the deficit to 18-14 after one period.
• Gettysburg grew the lead to eight in the first 3:19 of the second quarter before the Red Devils once again trimmed the margin to four nearly four minutes later. Baskets from Mott and AB Holsinger (Charlottesville, Va./Langley) stretched the lead to 31-22 before Caitlin Blackman pulled up and connected to close the deficit to seven at the intermission.
• An Alayna Arnolie 3-pointer in the opening minute of the third quarter made it a double-digit game for the first time but Blackman responded with a corner trey. After Emily Violante (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) and Mia Chapman traded baskets to make it 36-29, Dickinson missed its next 17 attempts from the floor while Gettysburg scored 14 straight points to open up a 20-point lead in the fourth quarter. The Bullets netted just seven points in the final 8:35 of the third quarter but built a 43-29 lead with a defense that forced six turnovers.
• Gettysburg scored eight straight to start the fourth and open up a 51-29 advantage with 6:09 to play. Dickinson netted six of the next seven points to make it 52-35 with 4:18 to play but that's as close as the visitors could get.
