LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg split a doubleheader at Haverford to close out the 2024 season. The Bullets took the opener 5-4 before the Fords took game two 4-1 to cap a 16-24 season.
THREE OUT OF FOUR AIN'T BAD: Gettysburg returns three of its four all-conference performances from a season ago. Jack Pistner was a second-team selection at first base while Alexander Wilkie-Viscio and Jack Burke were tabbed honorable mention. Pistner led the team in hitting at .371, rapping out a team-high 56 hits, including a program-record nine home runs. He also had four doubles and six triples for a .656 slugging percentage. He added 46 RBIs and 41 runs scored, drawing 26 walks for a .462 on-base percentage and 1.118 OPS. He had 20 multi-hit games, including seven with three or more hits. Wilkie-Viscio made 11 appearances on the mound with nine starts, posting a 4.63 ERA in 58 1/3 innings pitched. He went 4-2 on the year, striking out 38 with just two walks. His walks per nine (0.39) and strikeout-to-walk ratio (19.0) are tops in Division III last year. Burke was second on the team with a .352 batting average. He recorded 37 hits that included four doubles, four triples and three home runs for a .552 slugging percentage. He added 23 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He finished the year with a 1.001 OPS, recording 12 multi-hit games.
