Gettysburg won all doubles and singles matches to take Messiah 7-0.
THE LEADERS
- Adam Contract (Westfield, N.J., Westfield) led the Bullets with the win at first singles. Contract sent the first set into a tiebreaker winning 7-5 over Messiah's Chase Wilson, he then won the second set 7-5 to win the match. He and Mikey Fellman (Rockville, Md., Thomas S. Wootton) doubled to win 7-5 at first doubles.
- Matt Porreca (Blue Bell, Pa., La Salle College) beat Messiah's Luke Risser without dropping a single game at No. 6 singles.
FOR THE FOES
- Lance Wilson led the Falcons by forcing a tiebreaker in the first set at third singles winning 7-3. He also pushed the second set into a tiebreaker before ultimately losing to the Bullets.
THE REST OF THE STORY
- Ben O'Connor-Skloot (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., Dobbs Ferry) won 6-4, 6-3 at second singles over the Falcons' Brady Hahn.
- Owen Kutlu (Mendham, N.J., West Morris Mendham) took the win at third singles after dropping a set one tiebreaker he came back and won the second set tiebreaker 6-8 and then won the third tiebreaking set 6-4. He and JP Damare (Raleigh, N.C., Cardinal Gibbons) combined to take the third doubles win 6-2.
- Teo Burgess (Rockville, Md., Wheaton) defeated Messiah's Elijah Noll at No. 4 singles 6-2, 7-5. He and Porreca doubled at second doubles taking the 6-1 win.
- Malek Mustafa secured the win at fifth singles 6-4, 6-3.
