Gettysburg pulled points from Washington College by winning all doubles matches and one singles match before the Shoremen took the 5-2 win.
THE LEADERS
- Adam Contract (Westfield, N.J., Westfield) won at second singles with a 10-3 win in the third set tiebreaker after winning the first set 6-1 and dropping the second 6-4. He and Mikey Fellman (Rockville, Md., Thomas S. Wootton) defeated Washington College's Sihoo Kim and Tichi Chialva 6-4 at first doubles.
FOR THE FOES
- Demir Isiker led for the Shoremen winning 6-1, 6-2 at second singles.
- Kohl Perkins took the No. 5 singles 6-3, 6-0.
THE REST OF THE STORY
- Teo Burgess (Rockville, Md., Wheaton) and Matt Porreca (Blue Bell, Pa., La Salle College) doubled and second doubles winning 6-1. Burgess collected game wins before dropping No. 4 singles 6-1, 6-4.
- Owen Kutlu (Mendham, N.J., West Morris Mendham) and JP Damare (Raleigh, N.C., Cardinal Gibbons) combined to defeat Washington's Jorge Urgal Zuleta and Demir Isiker 6-3 at third doubles.
- Mikey Fellman (Rockville, Md., Thomas S. Wootton) had three game wins in set one and two in set two before the Shoremen took the first singles win 6-3, 6-2.
- Malek Mustafa won two games in each of sets however Julian Sealy of Washington College had the No. 6 singles win.
