GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Gettysburg will host one of the two semifinals of 2025 Centennial Conference (CC) women's lacrosse championship tournament on Thursday. Game time is 7 p.m.
In the six-team format, the field will be reseeded for the semifinals. The Bullets (15-2, 7-1 CC), who are the No. 2 seed, will host the higher-seeded remaining team while Franklin & Marshall (15-2, 8-0 CC), the No. 1 seed, will host the lower-seeded remaining team in the other semifinal on Thursday at 7 p.m.
In the opening round on Tuesday, fourth-seeded Muhlenberg (13-4, 5-3 CC) will host fifth-seeded Ursinus (7-10, 3-5 CC) at 7 p.m. Third-seeded Haverford (13-4, 6-2 CC) will host sixth-seeded Swarthmore (10-6, 3-5 CC) in the other first-round matchup also at 6 p.m.
The semifinal winners will advance to Saturday's championship game, which will be played at the site of the highest remaining seed. Game time will be announced later in the week.
Tickets will be sold for each round of the CC tournament and will be available soon on the Centennial ticketing homepage. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students age 6 through high school and senior citizens. Children five and under as well as students and staff from conference institutions are free.
The tournament's champion will earn the CC's automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Division III tournament, slated to begin on May 10-11 with first- and second-round action at 16 sites. The NCAA field will be announced on Monday, May 5 at 10:30 a.m.
The Bullets are seeking their 14th conference title. It is the 23rd tournament straight appearance for Gettysburg. The Bullets also in search of their 23rd NCAA tournament bid.
In the regular-season meetings, Gettysburg defeated Muhlenberg 13-6 on Mar. 29, Haverford 13-12 on Apr. 12, Ursinus 23-11 on Apr. 5 and Swarthmore 17-8 on Apr. 19. The Ursinus game was at home while the other three games were on the road.
Julia Daly (McLean, Va./Langley) leads the attack with 50 goals, 36 assists and 86 points.
Emily Crane (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) is second on the team with 47 goals and 64 points. She also leads the team with 91 draw controls.
Lily Macatee (Street, Md./North Harford) has 72 draw controls to go with 27 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers.
Michaela Kelly (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) is second on the team with 30 assists and has added 18 goals for 48 points.
Juliette deVarenne (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) has backstopped the defense with an 8.64 goals-against average and .478 save percentage.
