THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg jumped out to a 17-5 first-quarter lead, holding Ursinus to 2-for-11 shooting en route to a 63-48 victory in the 2026 Centennial Conference women's basketball semifinals.

THE LEADERS
Olivia Jones (Alexandria, Va./West Potomac) led a balanced attack for the Bullets with 14 points and two assists.
Kimberly Hopkins (Baldwin, N.Y./Sacred Heart Academy) added 13 points and two assists.

FOR THE FOES
• Madison Smith and Colleen Blackman led the Bears with 13 points apiece.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• A Reagan Chrencik (New Hope, Pa./New Hope-Solebury) layup and Kimberly Hopkins 3-pointer staked Gettysburg to a 5-0 lead in the game's first 3:19. Madison Smith hit one of two free throws and Anna Chimento converted a putback to cut the deficit to 5-3 with 5:44 on the clock but Briana Robles (Westchester, N.Y./Poly Prep) and Sasha Brody (Lynchburg, Va./Virginia Episcopal School) canned triples on back-to-back possessions to open up an 11-3 lead. Two Hopkins baskets stretched the lead to 17-3 before Emma Afflerbach scored in the final 10 seconds to make it a 17-5 game after one quarter.
• That layup sparked an 8-0 run into the second quarter. Brody, however, stemmed the tide and pushed the lead back out to 20-11 with 7:00 to play, starting an 8-0 burst over the next 1:50. The lead remained between 11 and 14 points the rest of the half with the Bullets taking a 35-21 advantage to the intermission.
• Smith hit a 3-pointer on the first possession of the second half to make it an 11-point game but three Gettysburg free throws extended the lead back to 14 and Ursinus couldn't get any closer than 11 until a Colleen Blackman trey made it 45-35 with 3:03 showing. Gettysburg, however, closed the quarter on an 8-0 run, including Robles hitting a floater from the free-throw lane as the horn sounded for a 53-35 advantage.
• Neither team hit a field goal for the first 4:12 of the fourth quarter until Jones hit a pull-up to make it 55-38 with 5:48 remaining and the lead remained between 15 and 19 points the rest of the way.

THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg advanced to the championship game for the seventh straight season. The Bullets have won the last four – all against Johns Hopkins and the last three in Baltimore.
Sasha Brody and Briana Robles finished with 10 points each.
Reagan Chrencik and Adeline Standish (Avon, Conn./Avon) led the way on the glass with six rebounds each to go with six points each.
