Bullets fall to Sea Gulls 5-1 after two almost wins at first doubles and No. 4 singles.
THE LEADERS
- JP Damare (Raleigh, N.C., Cardinal Gibbons) led the Bullets winning 6-4, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.
- Matt Porreca (Blue Bell, Pa., La Salle College) and Teo Burgess (Rockville, Md., Wheaton) just missed at first doubles winning 12 games within the match before dropping the tiebreaker 8-6.
FOR THE FOES
- Suri Gurv led the Sea Gulls winning 6-1, 6-0 at first singles. He and Aron Bursztyn combined for the tiebreaking win at first doubles.
THE REST OF THE STORY
- Owen Kutlu (Mendham, N.J., West Morris Mendham) also had a near win at No. 4 singles earning seven game wins in the set before dropping the tiebreaker 7-4.
- Connor McPartland (Furlong, Pa., Central Bucks East) won nine games across two sets at second singles before falling 7-5, 6-4.
- Spencer Pompian (Clayton, Mo., Clayton) had four game wins in set two at No. 5 singles however, Bursztyn secured the win ultimately defeating Pompian 6-2, 6-4.
