Gettysburg blanks Penn State-Harrisburg 7-0 only dropping to game wins across three doubles matches.
THE LEADERS
- Meaghan Dougherty (Heath, Texas, Rockwall-Heath) and Eden Levkov (Summit, N.J., Summit) combined to lead the Bullets winning 6-0 at second doubles before both winning in their singles matches. Dougherty at No. 4 singles winning 6-1, 6-0 and Levkov at No. 5 singles winning 6-3, 6-0.
- Lindsay Paullin (Richmond, Va., St. Catherine's) and Emma Ward (Falls Church, Va., George Mason) partnered to secure another 6-0 win at third doubles. Ward also won at third singles 6-0, 6-1.
FOR THE FOES
- Karina Ko led the Lions with three game wins at No. 5 singles.
THE REST OF THE STORY
- Arina Zheliaskova (Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation, Gymnasium 540) and Gabby Mazzeo (Bethel, Conn., Bethel) both had perfect 6-0, 6-0 wins at first and second singles. The two also combined to secure the 6-2 first doubles win.
- Claire Carroccio (Newtown Square, Pa., Villa Maria Academy) dropped only two to win 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.
