NORMAN, Okla. – Daniel Casanta (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug), a junior on the Gettysburg men's golf team, has been named to the Division III PING All-America team, released by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Thursday.

Casanta earned his first All-America nod, claiming honorable mention accolades after being named all-region for the second straight year.

Casanta led the team with a 73.8 stroke average over 24 rounds. He turned in seven rounds at or under par and finished in the top five in two of the 10 events he played. He was one of 28 golfers to earn honorable mention honors.
