THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg placed four runners in the top nine to edge Franklin & Marshall for first-place in the 4,000-meter race at the Dickinson Long/Short Invitational. Both teams scored 16 points but the Bullets held the edge with better combined scoring from their fourth and fifth runners.
THE LEADERS

Selah Decatur (Derwood, Md./Good Counsel) led the Bullets fifth-place finish, posting a time of 15:17.5.
FOR THE FOES
• Franklin & Marshall was second while Dickinson finished third with 32 points.
THE REST OF THE STORY
•
Elyse Tancini (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) crossed the line sixth with a time of 15:25.
•
Sara Lessard (Sharon, Mass./Sharon) was eighth with a time of 15:30.8 in her first race of the season.
•
Riley Schindler (Pelham, N.Y./Pelham Memorial) finished ninth with a time of 15:35.1.
•
Alex Petrino (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton Area) placed 16th with a time of 16:01.2.
•
Cassidy Gorham (Chicago, Ill./Lake Forest) was 22nd (16:29.8) while
Ava Taylor (Mohnton, Pa./Twin Valley) was 27th (16:44).

Ava Romano (28th, 16:45.4),
Rowan Herlihy (32nd, 16:57.1),
Jess McLaughlin (33rd, 16:57.2) rounded out the Bullets competitors.
THE INSIDE STORY
• A total of 63 runners competed in the race.

Selah Decatur (third) and
Elyse Tancini (fourth) both turned in top-five 4,000-meter times for Gettysburg on the Big Spring course.
