The Covington File: A two-year starter and one of the team’s top defensive playmakers...Should return to a starting role at outside linebacker.

2011: Started all 10 games for the Bullets as an outside linebacker…Finished second on the team in tackles (64) and third in tackles for loss (10.5)…Led the team in forced fumbles (three)…Also had two sacks, five pass breakups, and a fumble recovery…Made a career-best 11 tackles (10 solo) to go with a fumble recovery versus Dickinson…Also posted 10 stops and two pass breakups against Ursinus…Finished with 3.0 tackles for loss against Muhlenberg. 

2010: Started all 10 games and finished fourth on the team with 66 tackles…Led the team in sacks (3.5) and was second in tackles for loss (8.5)…Also posted two interceptions, two forced fumbles, two pass breakups, and a fumble recovery…Made a career-high nine tackles against Ursinus…Made his first collegiate interception against Juniata…Had eight tackles, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery in a win at Dickinson…Also had a game-clinching forced fumble in a win over Susquehanna.

2009: Played in nine games, primarily on special teams…Finished with six tackles, including two against both Muhlenberg and Franklin & Marshall…Made his first collegiate carry – his only rush of the season – at Moravian and picked up six yards. 

High School: Competed in football and track & field at Howard H.S….Earned all-county recognition in football…Rushed for 1,400 yards and 21 touchdowns in 2008…Earned all-county recognition and was nominated to the Baltimore Touchdown Club All-Star Game…Was a part of the 4x100 team that won the state championship. 

Family Connections: Cousin, Trey Covington, was a starting outside linebacker at the University of Maryland from 2005-08
