Biography

The Smith File: Begins his fourth season with the Bullets...Coming off a tremendous junior campaign as the team’s part-time quarterback…Has good arm strength and athleticism…Serving as a team captain.

2011: Captured a spot on the All-Centennial Conference Second Team, the highest all-conference honor for a Gettysburg quarterback in 17 years, despite sharing time at quarterback…Threw for 17 touchdowns – two shy of the school record – and just four interceptions to go with 1,637 passing yards…Also rushed for 293 yards and three touchdowns…Passed for career-bests of 291 yards and four touchdowns, including a 32-yard, game-winning heave on the final play of the game versus Ursinus…Also tossed an 81-yard TD pass in that game…Threw for three touchdowns at Lebanon Valley…Passed for 229 yards on nine completions in a win at McDaniel…Rushed for 82 yards and a pair of scores while passing for 183 yards versus Susquehanna...Scrambled for 65 yards in a win at Franklin & Marshall. 

2010: Played in three games for the year and took over as starting quarterback when Kyle Whitmoyer suffered a season-ending injury in a Week 9 triple-overtime loss at McDaniel…Made his collegiate debut in a win at Juniata, completing 3-of-5 passes for 25 yards and a touchdown…Against McDaniel, threw for 84 yards on 5-of-9 passing while playing the fourth quarter and all three overtimes…In his first collegiate start, threw for 281 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions on 19-of-28 passing in the team’s season-ending win over Franklin & Marshall, earning Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors.

2009: Did not appear in any varsity games.

High School: Competed in football, basketball, and lacrosse at Shawnee High School…Served as a captain of his football team…Earned all-conference recognition in football...Teammate of current Bullet Kyle Wigley.
