About Us

Gettysburg College Equestrian Team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA). We are a Gettysburg College club sport team, with a dozen members!

Since we are a club sport, no tryouts are necessary and we encourage all who are interested to join (from those who have never been on a horse to the experienced rider). Although the equestrian discipline encompasses individual riding, our primary goal is to unite as a TEAM. Aside from our riding competitions, members participate throughout the year in team building activities such as dinners, ropes courses, service, etc. to bond as riders and to
develop and strengthen our friendships.

Interested students will be required to join as a show member. As a competition team, our show events are scheduled from October through May, comprising of approximately nine shows during the academic year.
