About Us

Climbing has been a staple of Gettysburg's extracurricular programming since the opening of the Jaeger Center more than a decade ago. Previously overseen by the Garthwait Leadership Center, climbing begins its first year as an official club sport in 2024-25. The club is open to all skill levels and individuals who are interested in supporting one another as they compete and develop as part of a team atmosphere.

The climbing club practices at the Den, which includes the Jaeger Tower and Bouldering Wall inside the Jaeger Center for Athletics, Recreation, and Fitness. Team members and individuals wishing to use the spaces for recreation must go through an orientation and training session with certified staff before using these areas.
