Festa returns for his third season on the Gettysburg staff in the spring of 2025 after taking Fall 2024 away from the program for the birth of his first daughter. This is his eighth season working alongside head coach Cory Beddick, after serving as an assistant at Washington (Md.) for five seasons.
His main responsibilities in 2025 will be assisting with advanced scouting of opponents, statistical analysis, recruiting, and management of the team’s social media accounts.
Festa returned to his alma mater as an assistant baseball coach in the spring of 2018, where he helped the team to five straight winning seasons and an overall record of 104-57 (.646 winning percentage). The 2019 Shoremen team opened the season with a program-record 14-game winning streak and finished the year tying the record for wins in a season (28-12). The 2022 team qualified for the Centennial Conference (CC) tournament for the first time in a decade.
Festa’s primary focus at Washington was coaching the outfield. During his time at Washington, he coached five all-conference outfielders and one All-Mid-Atlantic Region selection. He also served as the team's first-base coach, assisted with in-game decisions, performed advanced scouting on opponents, helped with recruiting, and managed the team’s social media accounts.
Festa graduated from Washington in 2014 with a bachelor of arts in economics and minors in political science and accounting/finance. He was also the recipient of the 2014 Senior Economics Department Award, which is awarded to the graduating student with the highest potential in the field of economics. During his three years in Chestertown, he was a two-year varsity player for the Washington baseball team in 2012 and 2013, playing in 45 games in the infield and earning a spot on the CC Academic Honor Roll in 2013. During his freshman campaign, the 2012 team made the CC championship game and set the initial program record for wins in a season with 28.
Festa has held various roles within the investment management and financial services industries since graduating in 2014. He actively holds the FINRA Series 7, 9, 10, 24, 52, 53, and 66 Licenses.
