Jewart has overseen several redesigns of the athletics website, GettysburgSports.com, which annually receives more than 300,000 visitors and 2,000,000 page views. He is also responsible for putting Bullets athletics on the map when it comes to social media and today, the primary and secondary athletics accounts feature more than 57,000 total followers.

Jewart has stimulated the growth of the department’s live video streaming production, which now includes multiple camera angles, instant replay, improved graphics packages, and play-by-play commentary. In 2018-19, Gettysburg streamed more than 130 events to 70,000 unique viewers, tops among Centennial institutions.

During his tenure at Gettysburg, Jewart has covered a number of high-profile events, including three NCAA Division III championships in women’s lacrosse (2011, 2017, 2018). In 2010, he served as the communications director for the NCAA Division II and III Women's Lacrosse Championships hosted by Gettysburg and he repeated that role when the institution hosted the 2014 NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship. Jewart has hosted conference championship events in basketball, cross country, golf, lacrosse, softball, swimming, soccer, track and field, and wrestling in addition to a vast number of national playoff contests.

Jewart has won more district awards in the Fred Stabley, Sr., Writing Contest sponsored by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) than any Division III SID in the country over the last decade, capturing 12 since 2012. In 2021, he brought home the award for Best Season Recap/Preview in District 2 for his story “Gettysburg in Pursuit of New Laurels in 2020.” District 2 in the CoSIDA Writing Contest includes all Division I, Division II, Division III, and NAIA institutions in Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia.

Following the 2018-19 season, Jewart was recognized as the Small College SID of the Year by the National Wrestling Media Association for his coverage of Bullets wrestling. Jewart’s coverage of Gettysburg’s volleyball program was also cited as a “Sports Information Honoree” in the North Region by the American Volleyball Coaches Association in 2016-17.

Jewart serves on a number of committees at Gettysburg, including the Hall of Athletic Honor Selection Committee, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Athletics Committee, Student-Athlete Well-Being Advisory Committee, and the Senior Student-Athlete Celebration Committee.

He returned to his alma mater in 2006 as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications where he oversaw the development of the student work force and enhanced the department’s publications and archives.
