Cameron Murray

Cameron Murray enters his second season as an assistant football coach at Gettysburg College in 2014. After serving as an outside linebackers coach in 2013, he will work with the defensive line in 2014.

Murray was part of several winning football programs as a student-athlete, first helping to lead Hazlehurst (Miss.) High School to a 3A state championship, a 13-0 record, and eight shutouts in 2005. He went on to attend Copiah Lincoln Community College in Wesson, Mississippi and helped the Wolfpack win the Sea Island Golden Isle Bowl in 2006. He then transferred to Iowa State University, where made the team as a walk-on. A defensive end, Murray played for the 2009 Cyclones that defeated the University of Minnesota 14-13 in the Insight Bowl.

He finished his playing career in 2010 at Delta State University, helping the Statesmen capture the Gulf South Conference Championship and reach the NCAA Division II national championship game. Murray graduated from Iowa State in 2011 with a bachelor of arts degree in criminal justice and criminology.
