Gettysburg College Athletics

Denny Garman enters his second season at Gettysburg in 2009 and will serve as a defensive backs coach.

A 1999 graduate of Lock Haven University, Garman spent the 2006 and 2007 seasons as the head coach at Hanover (Pa.) H.S., where he was the offensive coordinator while coaching the Nighthawks’ wide receivers and defensive backs. He also worked as an assistant coach at Hanover from 2001-05. In addition, Garman was a student assistant at Lock Haven University from 1999-2000, serving as the wide receivers coach.

Garman, who works as a health and physical education teacher in the Hanover School District, was a three-year letterwinner on the gridiron at Lock Haven. He was also a two-year letterman in football and basketball at Cedar Cliff (Pa.) H.S., where he was named the school’s Athlete of the Year in 1995.
