Jeff Wilson

Jeff Wilson begins his second season as coach of the wide receivers and wing backs at Gettysburg in 2017.

In Wilson’s first season on the Battlefield, Gettysburg’s receivers combined for 163 receptions, 2,269 yards, and 24 touchdowns. Ty Abdul-Karim ’18 finished third in the Centennial Conference with nine receiving touchdowns, while 10 different Bullets hauled in a receiving touchdown overall.

Wilson arrived at Gettysburg following one year at ASA College in Brooklyn, N.Y. where he oversaw the wide receivers and assisted with special teams. In his lone year, he coached three of the top six leading receivers in the Northeast Football Conference, including a pair of all-conference performers.

Prior to ASA, he served as the wide receivers coach for three seasons at King’s College.  At King’s, Wilson oversaw the development of the program’s all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards, Dan Kempa. Kempa was the first Monarch wide receiver to post 1,000 yards in a season and he garnered first-team all-conference accolades. Wilson also spent one year as a grad assistant at Ithaca College in 2011-12 and worked as a youth football camp coach with the Miami Dolphins in 2015.

Wilson is a 2010 graduate of Division I South Florida University where he played two seasons as a wide receiver on the football team. He received his bachelor’s degree in elementary education and attained a master’s in sport management from Ithaca in 2013.
