Kevin Burke is in his fifth season as Gettysburg's offensive coordinator. He became a permanent member of the staff after serving on an interim basis during the 2004 campaign.
Burke has guided Gettysburg from the bottom of the conference offensive statistics to the top in his short tenure as the Bullets have led the Centennial Conference in rushing in each of the past three seasons. In 2007, Gettysburg posted another outstanding offensive season and finished 21st in Division III in rushing (248.6 yards per game). The Bullets also averaged 29.5 points per game and a conference-leading 404.7 yards of total offense per outing. In addition, Gettysburg amassed 400 yards or more in seven contests, including a season-high 537 against Lebanon Valley College. Additionally, Burke’s offensive line allowed a league-low 12 sacks in 11 games last fall.
Before arriving at Gettysburg, Burke served as the head coach at Juniata College from 1998-2003. During that time he helped the Eagles establish program records in nearly every offensive category. His best season came in 1999, when Juniata went 6-4 and finished second in the MAC Commonwealth Division - the best showing in school history.
After graduating from Gettysburg in 1990 with a degree in history, Burke coached at SUNY Stony Brook and Hamilton College before becoming Juniata's offensive coordinator in 1994. He left to take the offensive coordinator position at Norwich University before returning to Juniata as the head coach. Burke was a four-year member of the Bullet football and track & field teams.
