Matt Muller enters his fourth season as an assistant football coach at Gettysburg College in 2015.

The team's inside linebackers coach, Muller helped the Bullets finish among the conference leaders in numerous defensive categories in 2012, including pass defense (second, 182.5 ypg), scoring defense (third, 19.9 ppg), and total defense (third, 316.5 ypg).

Muller transitioned from high school to college after serving as a head or assistant football coach at nearby New Oxford High School from 1998-2011. A former social studies teacher and current Dean of Students at New Oxford, he took over as head coach of the Colonials in 2005. He was named Coach of the Year by the York-Adams Football Coaches Association, the Gettysburg Times, and the Evening Sun in 2006 after leading his team to its best record (11-2) in school history as well as a berth in the district semifinals and the first round of the state tournament.

From 1998-2004 Muller served as an assistant coach for New Oxford. A 1993 York (Pa.) College graduate and the current assistant principal at New Oxford, he also coached in the school’s middle school and freshman team programs from 1990-97. Muller earned a master’s in educational development and strategies from Wilkes University in 2004 and received a principal’s certificate from Immaculata University in 2012. In addition, Muller served as president of the York-Adams Football Coaches Association from 2008-12.
