Ryan Anderson will enter his second season on the Bullet coaching staff in 2008. Anderson, a 2007 graduate of Dickinson College, also serves as an assistant coach for Gettysburg's baseball team.
A native of nearby New Oxford, Pa., Anderson wrapped up his playing career at Dickinson as an eight-time varsity letterwinner, earning four each in baseball and football. He was a starting outside linebacker for the Red Devils in 2006, helping the squad to the Centennial Conference Championship and an appearance in the NCAA Division III playoffs. Anderson was among the team leaders as a senior with 43 tackles, including four for a loss. He also forced two fumbles and recovered one. On the diamond, he started 19 of 24 games at third base during his senior year, finishing with a career-high .302 batting average with eight RBI and 10 walks.
For his career, Anderson racked up 207 tackles, including 22.5 for a loss and four sacks. He also recovered eight fumbles as Dickinson finished with a record of 22-19 on the football field. In baseball, Anderson appeared in 94 games with 72 starts over the last four seasons, accumulating a .283 career average with 36 runs scored and 51 RBI.
Anderson earned a B.A. in policy management from Dickinson this past May.
