Wray Wright begins his first season as a member of the Gettysburg coaching staff. He will coach the defensive backs this fall.
Wright comes to Gettysburg after serving as a graduate assistant coach in charge of the defensive backs at Bemidji State University from 2005-06. Prior to that, he coached the running backs and defensive backs at his alma mater, Dana University, in 2004, and was a student assistant coach as an undergraduate in 2000 and 2001.
Wright was a two-year letterwinner as a running back and kick returner on Dana’s football team before picking up the clipboard as a junior. He was also a member of the track & field team.
While at Bemidji, Wright completed a master’s degree in sports studies and he received a bachelor’s in sociology from Dana in 2001.
