Aside from his collegiate experience, Brandell has worked with a number of youth soccer organizations. He was the U12 Commissioner for the Back Mountain Youth Soccer Association in 2019-20 and he worked team camps at Gettysburg and Lock Haven last summer. Brandell was also tagged All-East Region First Team and All-ECAC Upstate in 2014. The Saints appeared in the NCAA playoffs in each of his first four seasons on the team, highlighted by runs to the quarterfinals in 2013 and 2015. He missed the 2015 campaign due to injury, but bounced back to earn all-conference honors and serve as a team captain in each of his final two seasons.

Brandell graduated from St. Lawrence with dual degrees in economics and environmental studies in 2017. He finished his master’s in organizational management at Misericordia in 2020.
