Matt Logan enters his third season as an assistant men’s and women’s track and field coach at Gettysburg College in 2020-21.
 
Logan, who coaches shot put, discus, hammer/weight, and javelin, guided student-athletes to eight top 10 finishes at the Indoor and Outdoor Centennial Conference Championships in his first season with the Bullets.
 
As a student-athlete, Logan competed collegiately at Geneva College, where he threw shot put and discus for the Golden Tornadoes track & field team. A three-year captain, he qualified for the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Championships all four years and notched six top 10 finishes in shot put and discus. He was a four-time National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) national qualifier, twice in both indoor and outdoor track, where he claimed eighth place in the shot put during his senior campaign.
 
Prior to Gettysburg, Logan served as an assistant track and field coach in 2018 at Cedar Cliff High School (Camp Hill, Pa.), where he coached student-athletes to 10 Mid-Penn qualifying performances in throws. Since 2017, Logan has been on the sidelines at Cedar Cliff as an assistant offensive line coach and as the head JV coach and offensive coordinator, working primarily as an offensive play-caller. In 2018, he helped guide Cedar Cliff to win the Mid-Penn Keystone Division Championship, while being a PIAA District III qualifier, appearing in the district semi-final.
 
A native of Myerstown, Pa., Logan graduated from Geneva College in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management and Business. He also earned a Master of Arts in Higher Education, Concentration in College Athletics Leadership from Messiah College in 2017. Currently, Logan works at Messiah College as a Graphic Designer.
