Rustin Barrick enters his first year at Gettysburg College in a volunteer role. Barrick previously coached at Cumberland Valley High School under Dave Heckard from 2017-2021. During that time he helped coach 10Â PIAA state qualifiers and five place winners including one state champion. In addition, he coached one student-athlete at the Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic where he was victorious for Team Pennsylvania in their win over Team USA.

Barrick attended Bucknell University and was a two-year team captain. The Bison took back-to-back third place finishes at the 2015 and 2016 EIWA championships. A 2015 Cliff Keen Las Vegas tournament place winner, Barrick also placed fourth at 2016 EIWA championships and earned an automatic qualification to NCAA tournament at Madison Square Garden. He was a member of the EIWA all-academic team in 2016.
In high school, Barrick wrestled for his father, Roger Barrick, at Mechanicsburg High School and was teammates with Gettysburg College All-American Zach Thomson. In 2012, he helped the team take second in District III and fourth at PIAA team states. A 2011 Beast of the East place winner, Barrick was a three-time Pennsylvania state qualifier and a state finalist in 2012. He holds the career wins record at Mechanicsburg.
Barrick, who was never pinned in high school or college, married his wife Amy this past May.Â
