AT GETTYSBURG
Brosius was elevated to head coach in April 2024 after serving the previous three seasons as an assistant on the staff.
In his first season in charge, he mentored five top-three showings at the conference championship meet, including Justin Richey’s title at 165. He also guided the Bullets to an eighth-place finish at the regional championship and led two individuals to the NCAA national championship meet.
In his first season at the college ranks, he helped coach five placewinners for the Bullets at the conference championship as well as three regional medalists and three Scholar All-Americans. He also was part of the staff that mentored the Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year (Luke Kowalski) and the championship's Most Outstanding Wrestler in Eric Mougalian. A year later, he helped mentor Kowalski to a conference championship, Most Outstanding Wrestler honors and an All-America showing at the national championship.
PRIOR TOÂ GETTYSBURG
Brosius brings more than 30 years of coaching experience to Gettysburg and most recently was the head senior high wrestling coach at Dover High School in Dover, PA from 2012 thru the 2021 season. Brosius also served as the head junior high coach at West York school district from 2008-12 and, prior to that, was head youth coach for the Dover school district for many years.Â
OTHER EXPERIENCES
Brosius, a USA Wrestling Silver Certified Coach, is the Director and a coach of the Modern Day Gladiators wrestling club in Central Pennsylvania. Since its inception in 2009, the club has produced 46 Greco-Roman, Freestyle, and Women’s Freestyle All-Americans, 65 Northeast Regional Medalists, 5 Greco-Roman World Team Trials Qualifiers, 5 Olympic Training Center invitees, and three Pan-Am games gold medalists. Prior to the Modern Day Gladiator Club, Brosius coached with the Icebreakers Wrestling club. Coach Brosius also coached Freestyle and Greco-Roman at the Eagle Wrestling Club and Team Taz for many years.
In 2021, he served as the co-head coach of the U16 Greco-Roman national team champions and was an assistant in 2020 and 2021 for the U16 freestyle national champions.
This year, Brosius coached the Pennsylvania Cadet and Junior National Team and was elected to the Board for PA USA Wrestling.

PLAYING DAYS
Brosius is a 1979 graduate of Penn State University where he majored in Civil Engineering. He was a Registered Professional Civil Engineer for over 40 years and recently retired as Vice President of a major civil engineering firm.
Brosius’s best wrestling accomplishments came after his school years, he earned a bronze medal at the U.S. Master’s Greco-Roman National Championships in Las Vegas in 2009. Brosius has also wrestled in 5 Masters World Championships including: 1999 in Bucharest, Romania (Freestyle); 2000 in Freiburg, Germany (7th place Freestyle); 2015 in Athens, Greece (Greco-Roman); 2016 in Seinajoki, Finland (5th place Greco-Roman); and 2017 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria (5th place Greco-Roman and Freestyle).
