Martel joins the Gettysburg staff as an assistant coach for the 2026 season.
She spent the last two seasons as a graduate assistant at her alma mater, Springfield. During her time on staff, she helped develop and implement a defensive strategy and game plan that helped the Pride finished the 2025 season ranked eighth in Division III in scoring defense at 6.72 goals per game. In her two seasons on staff, Springfield posted a combined record of 29-9 for two of the most successful seasons in program history. She was part of the NEWMAC Coaching Staff of the Year in 2024 and helped the team to the NCAA tournament that season.Â
As a graduate student at Springfield, she also served as an assistant professor, teaching Wellness of Physical Literacy and Beyond.
Martel also has coaching experience in club lacrosse, working with SWAG and Lax Plus Club in Connecticut.Â
As a player at Springfield, she was a first-team all-conference selection as a senior in 2022 after a season with 55 goals, which ranks fifth in single-season program history. She served as a team captain and as part of the Student-Athlete Leadership Committee.
Martelm a dean's list student, graduated with a bachelor of science in sports biology in 2022 and a master of education in athletic leadership.
