Tierney joins the Bullets coaching staff for the 2027 season after spending last season as an assistant coach at Springfield.
After graduating from Springfield in 2024, he served as a graduate assistant on the offensive side of the ball. He assisted in the development and implementation of the team’s offensive strategies, playbook and game plan.
In his final season with the Pride, Tierney was named second-team All-NEWMAC after leading the team in assists with 19 and ranked second in goals (21) and points (40). Tierney was selected to play in the NEILA East-West All-Star Game, which pulls from men’s lacrosse players from around New England across Division I, II, and II for a premier lacrosse showcase of the region’s top student-athletes.
Tierney also has experience coaching at the club level, serving as a head coach at 3D New England South from 2024-26.
Tierney graduated from Springfield with a bachelor of science in movement and sport studies with a minor in psychology and his master of education in athletic leadership.
