Cline joined the Bullets Sports Medicine staff in 2024 after earning his Master of Science in Athletic Training from James Madison University in May.

During his time at JMU, he gained clinical experience in a variety of settings, including with the Dukes’ track & field and football teams, the JMU Recreation Center, Mountain View High School, and the Bridgewater College men’s lacrosse team. His graduate research focused on load management monitoring systems and their relevance to the athletic training profession.

While in Harrisonburg, Cline also worked part-time as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach.

Prior to graduate school, he earned his bachelor of science in exercise science from Roanoke College in 2021. At Roanoke, he was a four-year member of the men’s lacrosse team and received the 2021 Paul S. Griffin Award, recognizing his outstanding dedication and leadership. He also served as the president of his fraternity during his time at Roanoke.

Cline is a member of both the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He holds certifications as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), a NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), and is a certified Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR instructor.
