Dougherty was named the Most Outstanding Performer at the Centennial Conference Championships after posting seven medals and leading the Bullets to their sixth-straight conference title. He earned golds in the 50-freestyle, 100-freestyle, and 100-breaststroke, and he also swam on the winning 200-freestyle and 400-freestyle relays. In addition, he helped both the 200- and 400-medley relays capture the silver. Dougherty achieved NCAA Division III Championship-qualifying "B" cuts in the 50-free (20.35), 100-free (44.72), and 100-breast (56.59).
