LANCASTER, Pa. – Gettysburg College and Franklin & Marshall College both entered Wednesday night undefeated in the Centennial Conference, but only one team could leave the Mayser Center undefeated and that honor went to the Bullets as they doused the Diplomats with a 3-1 decision and improved to 3-0 in conference play. Scores for the match were 25-16, 25-23, 23-25, and 25-18 in favor of the visitors.

Gettysburg's (10-9, 3-0 CC) attack was flowing against Franklin & Marshall (4-11, 2-1 CC) as six players notched six or more kills, led by senior Meghan McConville (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) and junior Kristina Mercier (Baltimore, Md./Mount de Sales Academy) with 11 kills apiece. Freshman Virginia Hogan (Alpharetta, Ga./Chattahoochee) tallied eight kills, while junior Stephanie Rickabaugh (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) posted eight kills, 14 digs, and three aces. Sophomore Kate Yoder (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) managed six kills and three blocks despite constant attention from Franklin & Marshall's front line.

Junior Amanda Krampf (Gaithersburg, Md./Gaithersburg) was one off her season-high with 37 assists, adding six kills and 13 digs. Junior libero Kristin Kotewicz (Columbia, Md./River Hill) led the defensive effort with 21 digs.

Gettysburg and Johns Hopkins University (14-4, 2-0 CC) are the only remaining undefeated teams in the CC following the latter's victory over Dickinson College on Wednesday. The Bullets and Blue Jays square off next Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 7 p.m., but first the Orange & Blue will have to get by last-place Ursinus College (4-10, 0-3 CC) on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 1 p.m.
