CARLISLE, Pa. – The second-ranked Gettysburg College women's lacrosse team received all it could handle from No. 16 Dickinson College, but the Bullets held off the Red Devils 12-7 in Centennial Conference action on Tuesday. With the victory, Gettysburg remained undefeated on the season (12-0), including 5-0 against conference foes, while Dickinson (7-2, 3-1 CC) suffered its first league loss of the spring.

Senior Katie Ceglarski (Darien, Conn./Darien) led the visitors with six points coming on five goals and one assist, the latter marking the 100th of her career. She is just the second Bullet to reach 100 career assists and only the eighth to accomplish the feat in the history of the Centennial Conference. Senior Megan Moore (Chestertown, Md./Gunston Day School) and sophomore Nina Emala (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr) each notched a pair of goals, the former adding an assist, while senior Jamie Giffuni (St. James, N.Y./Smithtown) dished out three helpers to reach 100 career points.

Gettysburg took a 2-1 lead in the early going on goals by Emala and Ceglarski sandwiched around a Red Devil score, but the hosts fired off three unanswered scores to take a 4-2 advantage at 19:27. Ceglarski had the Bullet answer with back-to-back goals to knot the game and sophomore Hollis Stahl (Hightstown, N.J./Peddie School) and Emala closed a 4-0 run as Gettysburg took a 6-4 lead at the break.

Ceglarski made it a 5-0 run and a three-goal advantage (7-4) just under 10 minutes into the final period. Dickinson sliced the deficit to just one (7-6) with goals by Sunnie Ko and Alysa Crelin just 32 seconds apart at 17:56 and 17:32, respectively. The Bullets fired right back as Moore tallied her first goal just 13 seconds after the Red Devils' last score to retake a two-goal lead. Senior Krissy Browning (Baldwin, Md./Fallston) upped the margin to three (9-6) with an unassisted goal at 12:48.

Dickinson pulled to within 9-7 with 10:51 remaining, but a three-goal run by the Bullets sealed the victory, including sophomore Jessica Crane's (Sudbury, Mass./Lincoln-Sudbury) only goal courtesy of a Ceglarski pass with 44 ticks left to play.

Senior Callie Gates (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) led the Gettysburg defensive effort with five caused turnovers and four ground balls, while sophomore Nicole Ditillo (Baldwin, Md./Fallston) scooped up three ground balls. Sophomore goalie Kristen Krammer (Woodbine, Md./Glenelg) picked up the win for the Bullets, netting six saves and four ground balls.

Crelin led the Red Devils with three goals and a game-high 10 draw controls. Amy Jennings and Sara Braniecki each added a pair of assists, while goalie Jessie Clark made five saves.

Gettysburg tackles another nationally-ranked opponent in its next contest this week, hitting the road for a match up with fourth-ranked College of New Jersey (7-0) on Friday, April 4, at 5 p.m.
