BALTIMORE – The Gettysburg College volleyball team avenged its only regular season loss in Centennial Conference play last season with a 3-1 victory over Johns Hopkins University on Saturday, Oct. 10. Defensively, Gettysburg turned in one of its best all-around performances with 85 digs and a season-high 11 total blocks. In addition to Kotewicz, seniors
Amanda Krampf (Gaithersburg, Md./Gaithersburg) and
Kristina Mercier (Baltimore, Md./Mount de Sales Academy) turned in 20 and 21 digs, respectively. The back line was aided by a dominant net defense as four players were in on at least three blocks. Junior
Nicole Burns (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro) led the way with six blocks and Mercier added five.
Senior
Stephanie Rickabaugh (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) led the offense with a season-high tying 11 kills in addition to posting nine digs and four blocks. Sophomore
