GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Senior Lexie Hearn (Old Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich) scored with 19:40 left in the game and Gettysburg's defense prevented Dickinson College from taking a shot and the 13th-ranked Bullets defeated the Red Devils 1-0 on Senior Day in a Centennial Conference field hockey game at Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium Tuesday afternoon.

Before the game, Gettysburg's five seniors – Christina Anderson (Dunkirk, Md./Calverton School), Nina Emala (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr), Hearn, Molly Latta (West Chester, Pa./Henderson), and Vanessa Pabon (New Oxford, Pa./New Oxford) – were honored in a brief ceremony.

Hearn broke a scoreless tie when she dribbled in from the top, weaved through several defenders, and slipped a shot through the goalkeeper's legs for her ninth goal of the season.

Dickinson earned a penalty corner in the final 30 seconds, but Pabon raced into the circle and gained possession with no time left to give the Bullets the win.

Gettysburg finished with lopsided advantages in shots (14-0) and penalty corners (17-2).

Senior goalie Amanda West finished with six saves for Dickinson.

Gettysburg returns to action on Friday, when it visits Muhlenberg College at 7 p.m. in another Centennial Conference match.
