HAVERFORD, Pa. – Mary Hobbs scored four goals and handed out two assists as host Haverford College defeated Gettysburg 7-0 in Centennial Conference field hockey action Saturday afternoon.
It was a 1-0 game when the Fords (5-3, 3-0 CC) broke it open with a three-goal burst over a 5:39 stretch midway through the first half, with Hobbs scoring the first two tallies and assisting on the third. Haverford took a 4-0 lead into the locker room.
The Fords scored twice in eight seconds early in the second half before setting the final score when Hobbs struck off a corner with no time remaining.

Megan Feeg started in goal for Gettysburg (3-5, 1-3 CC) and made six saves while playing the first half. Playing in her hometown, sophomore
Alexis Bralow made a career-high eight saves over the final 35 minutes.
Gettysburg continues its season on Wednesday, when it visits Elizabethtown College in a non-conference contest starting at 4:30 p.m.
