YORK, Pa. – Junior Casey Attanasio tallied the only goal in the 29th minute to propel Gettysburg College to a 1-0 win at York (Pa.) College in non-conference women's soccer action on Wednesday evening.

Gettysburg (7-5) picked up a victory in its final non-conference contest before beginning its stretch run in the Centennial Conference. Attanasio scored for the second consecutive outing, taking a feed from sophomore Rachel West at the top of the box and striking the ball over the York goalkeeper at 28:22.

York (4-9) managed just one shot in the opening half against the Bullets' stingy defense. Senior Allie Rivera prevented any damage in the second half with two saves in the 73rd minute. First, she knocked Paige Yeager's attempt out-of-bounds before stopping Jenn Lindsay on the ensuing corner kick.

Gettysburg finished with an 11-7 advantage on shots. Attanasio posted three attempts, while sophomore Becca Kent freshman Molly Phillips each tallied two shots.

Gettysburg resumes conference play at home against Bryn Mawr College on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 4 p.m.
