ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Gettysburg College field hockey team dropped a 6-1 non-conference decision at Elizabethtown College on Wednesday.

The Blue Jays (7-2), who won their sixth game in a row, received three goals from Erin Meanix while Nadine Yunginger notched two goals and two assists.

Elizabethtown jumped to a 3-0 halftime lead and scored six unanswered goals to start the game. The Bullets (3-6) broke up the shutout when sophomore Ashleigh Guise collected her own deflected shot off the goalie and passed it to junior Hayward Sawers, who scored with 13:02 left for her second goal of the season.

Junior Megan Feeg played the first half in goal and made nine saves for Gettysburg while sophomore Alexis Bralow played the second stanza and stopped five shots.

Lindy Hamp played the first 50 minutes in goal for E-town and did not allow a goal, making three saves.

The Bullets return to action on Saturday, when they host Swarthmore College in a Centennial Conference game starting at 1 p.m.
