Alyssa Oursler and sophomore guard 
Alyssa Isler combined for 40 points and the Gettysburg College women's basketball team withstood a second-half rally to win their sixth straight game, topping host Dickinson 54-42 in a Centennial Conference outing Wednesday evening in the Kline Center.
Oursler scored a career-high 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds while Isler poured in a career-best 18 points for the Bullets (10-8, 8-5 CC), who led by as much as 10 in the first half but saw their lead dwindle to 37-35 with 11:53 left. However, Gettysburg rallied with five unanswered points, and the Red Devils were unable to get closer than six the rest of the way.
Bridget Borgese posted nine points and seven rebounds for Dickinson (2-16, 2-11 CC), which lost its sixth in a row. Senior center 
Sara Kinsley grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds and picked off a career-best five steals for the Bullets.
Gettysburg, ranked seventh in Division III in field-goal percentage defense heading into the game, held the Red Devils to 30.0 percent shooting. The Bullets blanked Dickinson over the final 4:35 and did not allow a field goal in the last 6:37.
The Bullets trailed just twice on the evening, and an Oursler lay-up six minutes into the game put the visitors ahead (11-9) for good. Oursler, who shot 9-for-18 from the floor, kicked off 13-3 run with her bucket as Gettysburg went up 22-12 with 7:54 remaining in the half.
The visitors went ahead by 10 on two more occasions, the last coming an Oursler lay-in with 4:12 left, and it was still a seven-point game (30-23) at the half following a pair of Borgese foul shots with two ticks showing.
Dickinson used an 8-2 run over a 5:12 stretch to draw to within two before the Bullets pulled away on a jumper from senior forward 
Lauren Dadigan and three points from Isler. Dana Walsh converted Dickinson's final field goal with a jumper at the 6:38 mark, and her two foul shots with 4:36 left were the team's final points of the night.
The Bullets return to action on Saturday, when they host Swarthmore College at 2 p.m. in another Centennial Conference game.
