ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Junior
Tara Crowley came up with her third game-winning goal this fall as the Bullets clinched a postseason spot with a 1-0 win at Muhlenberg College in Centennial Conference women's soccer action Saturday night.
Gettysburg (11-4, 7-1 CC) remained tied with Johns Hopkins University (12-3-1, 7-1 CC) for the top spot in the conference standings. Both the Bullets and Blue Jays clinched spots in the conference playoffs with wins on Saturday and the two rivals will square off in the regular season finale next weekend.
Crowley recorded her team-best fifth goal of the campaign and her third as part of a 1-0 decision. The junior forward, who posted game-winning goals against Catholic University and Swarthmore College, put the visitors in front in the 31st minute, polishing off a corner kick by classmate
Becca Kent with a header.
Gettysburg, which notched its ninth team shutout with in the win, locked down the Mules the rest of the way. Freshman
Eliza Gray stopped a pair of shots late in the first half and added a final save on a shot by Stephanie Tramutola in the 76th minute. She lowered her league-leading goals against average to 0.37 with her sixth shutout of the campaign.
The Bullets finished with a 15-9 advantage in shots. Freshman

Sarah Alesio each tallied two shot attempts.
