BRYN MAWR, Pa.
– A dozen players found the back of the net as the fourth-ranked Gettysburg College women's lacrosse team wrapped up another perfect season in the Centennial Conference with a 20-2 win at Bryn Mawr College on Saturday.

Gettysburg (14-1, 9-0 CC) posted its sixth perfect record in conference play since 2000 and will host of the 2012 CC Tournament semifinals and championship on April 28-29.

The Bullets raced out to a 9-0 lead on Bryn Mawr (2-13, 0-9 CC) in the first 15 minutes and led 12-1 at halftime. After the Owls netted the first goal of the second period, the visitors turned in the last eight tallies. Noteworthy, each of Gettysburg final 12 goals were scored by freshmen.

Gettysburg held distinct advantages in shots (45-6), draw controls (14-9), and ground balls (19-12). The visitors were also perfect on 11 clear attempts and forced Bryn Mawr into 23 turnovers.

Junior Lindsey Robinson and senior Hannah Church led the scoring for the Bullets. Robinson tallied three goals and two assists, while Church turned in two of each. Church's two goals gave her 192 for her career, tying her for second in program history with 2010 graduate Hollis Stahl.

Sophomore Katie Blumenthal tossed in one goal and dished out three assists. Eight different freshmen found the scoring column for Gettysburg with Mandy Buell lighting the lamp three times and Julia Shackleton, Bridget Kenny, and Cat McCutcheon each scoring twice.

Defensively, freshmen Megan Nearing and Gretchen Boehmcke each recorded two ground balls and two caused turnovers. Nearing also chipped in offensively with a goal and an assist.

Senior Maddie Coleman and junior Ally Duggan split time in Gettysburg's goal. Each keeper allowed just one goal with Coleman making three saves.

Gettysburg wraps up the regular season on Sunday, April 22, with a non-conference match up with No. 15 Washington & Lee University at Clark Field beginning at 2 p.m.
