GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Gettysburg rebounded from a slow start to take down Haverford 3-1 in a Centennial Conference volleyball match on Saturday afternoon. The Bullets dropped their second match of the day to Elizabethtown College 3-0.
Haverford (11-4, 2-1 CC) jumped out with a 25-14 victory in the opening set against Gettysburg (11-8, 3-1 CC), capitalizing on a number of hitting and serving errors by the hosts. But the Bullets rebounded to win the final three sets with scores of 25-22, 25-19, and 25-23.

Sarah Gorski recorded 10 kills and seven total blocks. Junior
Kelly Milione and sophomore
Cydney Bracken each tallied seven kills and 10 digs.
Senior
Katie Wilson and freshman
Hannah Bentz paced the defense with 16 and 15 digs, respectively. Junior
Lizzy Kuhn dished out 20 assists and served a pair of aces, while freshman
Kate DeLess posted 18 assists, six kills, and four blocks.
After dispatching Haverford in four sets, Elizabethtown (16-3) swept Gettysburg with scores of 25-18, 28-26, and 25-16. Bracken led Gettysburg with 14 kills, while Bentz posted a dozen digs.
Gettysburg returns to the court to face Swarthmore College and Moravian College at the former's gym on Saturday, Oct. 6, beginning at 1 p.m.
