LAST TIME OUT
Gettysburg outgained McDaniel 635-436 and the Bullets topped the Green Terror 50-28 in Westminster two weeks ago. Junior
Zach Miller threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns on 17-of-22 passing for Gettysburg while senior receiver
Aden Twer grabbed four passes for 100 yards and a touchdown. Sophomore
Kyle Wigley (97 yards) and junior
Eddie Hutchins (72 yards, two touchdowns) led a 382-yard rushing attack for the Bullets while junior defensive ends

Muhlenberg used a 38-6 run spanning the second through the fourth quarters to overcome a slow start and beat Susquehanna 38-18 in Allentown two weeks ago. Junior Cody Geyer led the Mules with 265 all-purpose yards, including four kick returns for 140 yards, two punt returns for 34 yards, and four receptions for 91 yards. Junior linebacker Jeremey Thomas paced the defense with seven tackles, including 5.0 for loss, 1.0 sack, one forced fumble, and one interception as the Mules held Susquehanna to 144 yards of total offense.
LAST YEAR'S MATCHUP
Gettysburg rallied from a 14-point deficit to take the lead with less than six minutes left, but Muhlenberg answered with a late touchdown on a faked field goal and the Mules came away with a 35-31 victory in Allentown last season. The Bullets also scored on a faked field goal earlier in the fourth quarter and had taken a 31-28 lead when
Robby Fay kicked a 28-yard field goal with 5:43 left to play. But that's when Muhlenberg came back with a go-ahead 10-play, 70-yard march that ended on a 15-yard touchdown pass from holder Joe Carlucci to Ian Gimbar with 2:32 remaining. Tailback
Eddie Hutchins rushed for 130 yards to lead the Bullets while quarterback
Kody Smith '13 finished with four touchdowns (three passing, one rushing) and linebacker
Larry DelViscio '13 piled up 19 tackles. Tailback Terrence Dandridge rushed for 145 yards and three touchdowns to lead Muhlenberg while linebacker Jeremey Thomas posted eight tackles, including 3.5 for loss, and 2.0 sacks.
THE GETTYSBURG OFFENSE
The Bullet offense has shined in the first half of the season and comes into Saturday's game ranked first or second in the Centennial Conference in every major category. The Orange and Blue are leading the league in rushing offense (274.8 ypg) and rank second in scoring offense (38.6 ypg), total offense (529.0 ypg), and passing offense (254.2 ypg). The running game, which ranks 16th in Division III, has been led by sophomore tailback

A number of additional Bullets have made their presence felt on the ground, as eight different players have rushed for a touchdown this season and in the team's win over McDaniel, 11 Bullets carried the ball at least once as Gettysburg piled up 382 rushing yards without the aid of a 100-yard rusher. Junior quarterback
Zach Miller has posted a strong start, ranking among the Division III leaders in passing yards per game (45th, 251.0), total offense (36th, 295.4 ypg), and completion percentage (28th, 66.4). He has passed for 10 touchdowns and just three interceptions, with none coming in the last two weeks. Senior receiver
Aden Twer leads the Centennial Conference and ranks 20th in the nation in touchdown catches (six), and he is also the team leader in receptions (18) and receiving yards per game (84.8). Junior wing
Tommy LeNoir has added 16 catches for two touchdowns and 46.8 yards per game.
THE GETTYSBURG DEFENSE
Defensively, Gettysburg has ratcheted up its pass-rushing attack and has reached opposing quarterbacks for 8.0 sacks over its last two games while also accumulating 14.0 tackles for loss during the stretch. Junior defensive ends
Drew Winters (4.5 sacks, 5.5 tackles for loss) and
A.J. Hill (2.5 sacks, 7.0 tackles for loss) have accounted for all but one of the team's sacks this season, and Winters ranks 44th in Division III in sacks per game (0.9). Sophomore

Kodie McNamara is the team leader in tackles with 58. He ranks 17th in the nation in tackles per game (11.6) while senior linebacker
Cody DiAmore has added 53 tackles, including 4.0 for loss.
THE GETTYSBURG SPECIAL TEAMS
The Bullets have received strong all-around special teams play this season, ranking seventh in Division III in punt return defense (1.60 ypr) and 19th in kick returns (25.74 ypr). Senior
Tommy LeNoir has made his mark on offense and in the return game to rank 12th in the nation in all-purpose yards per game (189.4). He has taken the bulk of the team's kick and punt returns and ranks 38th in Division III in kick return average (26.7). Junior kicker
Matt Perkins has nailed 4-of-5 field goals and knocked down 21-of-24 extra points while sophomore
Robby Fay has averaged a booming 41.1 yards per punt, including a 75-yarder against McDaniel that came up one yard shy of the Centennial Conference record.
SCOUTING MUHLENBERG
Muhlenberg has made its mark defensively this season and ranks second in the Centennial Conference in both total defense (305.0 ypg) and rushing defense (141.4 ypg). Junior linebacker Gene Blanco leads the team with 39 tackles, including 5.5 for loss, while senior linebacker Kory Crichton has added 38 stops. He has also rushed for 46.2 yards per game and four TDs. Junior Cody Geyer has led the receiving corps with 83.2 yards per game while posting 167.8 all-purpose yards per game. He has also averaged impressive numbers of 20.2 yards per punt return and 22.2 yards per kick return. Junior kicker Connor Winter has enjoyed a perfect season, going 6-for-6 on field goals and 21-for-21 on extra points. He also handles the team's punting, averaging 40.2 yards per kick.
RECORD BREAKER
With his two touchdown catches against Ursinus on Sept. 14, senior receiver
Aden Twer broke Gettysburg's oldest major football record. His 4-yard grab with 4:06 left upped his career total for TD receptions to 19 - one more than Ken Snyder '65 accumulated from 1962-64, when freshmen were not eligible for varsity competition. Two years ago, Twer also broke Snyder's single-season touchdown reception record that had stood since 1964 when he made 12 TD catches, and he became just the second Bullet to post 1,000 receiving yards in a season, finishing with 1,079 to finish behind only Chris Notarfrancesco's 1,115 in 1994. Twer also comes into Saturday's game ranked second in school history in career receiving yards (1,853) and tied for sixth in career receptions (96).
THE COACHES
Gettysburg is coached by
Barry Streeter, now in his 35th year at the helm of the Bullets. With 177 career victories, Streeter is eighth among active Division III coaches in wins. He is also tied for 21st on the all-time Division III coaches win list. Streeter, who owns a career record of 177-167-5, is Gettysburg's all-time winningest and longest-tenured football coach in program history. In addition, his 107 Centennial Conference football wins are second in conference history.
Mike Donnelly is in the midst of his 17th season at Muhlenberg. With a record of 109-66, he is the all-time winningest coach in program history.
MUTUNGA MAKES RETURN
A familiar face will be back on the sidelines on Saturday as former Gettysburg standout Jamel Mutunga '11 returns to Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium for the first time as an assistant coach at Muhlenberg. A three-time All-Centennial Conference tailback, Mutunga serves as the tight ends coach for the Mules. He currently ranks sixth in school history in career rushing yards (2,804) and third in career rushing touchdowns (30).
