OPENING KICKOFF
Playing their second home game in as many weeks, the Gettysburg College football team (3-3, 2-3 CC) takes on Centennial Conference-leading and undefeated Johns Hopkins University (6-0, 5-0 CC) on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium.

QUICK HITS
1. Johns Hopkins is ranked 12th in Division III by the American Football Coaches Association and 13th by D3football.com. The Blue Jays are one of 24 undefeated teams in Division III.

Gettysburg holds a 20-18-2 lead over Johns Hopkins in the all-time series that began in 1911. The Blue Jays have won the last five meetings.
LAST TIME OUT
Muhlenberg ended the game on a 21-0 run and handed the Bullets a 35-10 setback at Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium last Saturday. The Mules led just 14-7 at halftime, and it was a 14-10 game after sophomore Robby Fay kicked a 32-yard field goal early in the third quarter. But the Bullets were stopped on their final six possessions while Muhlenberg put the game away with a trio of 2-yard touchdown runs. Senior receiver Aden Twer grabbed four receptions - including the 100th of his career - for 85 yards and a touchdown for Gettysburg while sophomore linebacker Kodie McNamara led the defense with 15 tackles.
Sophomore Brandon Cherry and freshman Stuart Walters combined for 276 rushing yards and Johns Hopkins defeated Dickinson College 42-17 in Baltimore last Friday night. It was a 7-7 game at the end of the first quarter before the Blue Jays pulled away with a 28-3 run from the second through the fourth quarters. Cherry finished the night with 152 yards on 14 carries while Walters totaled 124 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 15 rushes. Sophomore linebacker Keith Corliss paced the defense with 12 tackles.
LAST YEAR'S MATCHUP
Gettysburg led 35-28 with 14:37 left before the Blue Jays ended the game on a 21-0 run en route to a 49-35 victory on a Friday night in Baltimore last season. The game featured five ties and three lead changes, and the two sides accumulated 905 yards of offense, with Hopkins outgaining Gettysburg 499-406. Senior tailback Ted Delia '13 rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns for the Bullets, who had four scoring drives of 70 yards or longer. Quarterback Kody Smith '13 ran for 83 yards and a pair of TDs while throwing for 197 yards, and linebacker Larry DelViscio '13 led the Gettysburg defense with 17 tackles. Jonathan Rigaud rushed for 210 yards and a game-tying 63-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter for the Blue Jays while Taylor Maciow made nine tackles and returned a fumble 42 yards for a touchdown that set the final score with 4:51 left.
THE GETTYSBURG OFFENSE
The Bullets enter Saturday's game ranked 15th in Division III in total offense (490.0 ypg), 31st in rushing offense (239.7 ypg), and 49th in scoring offense (33.8 ppg). Gettysburg has achieved balance offensively, rushing for 15 touchdowns while passing for 12 TDs and 250.3 yards per game. Junior quarterback Zach Miller has passed for 242.0 yards per game and 11 touchdowns versus just four interceptions while completing 63.3 percent of his passes. He ranks 27th in Division III in pass efficiency at 158.4 and he is also 39th nationally in total offense (278.7 ypg). Senior Aden Twer is the team's leading receiver with 22 catches for 84.8 yards per game and seven touchdowns, which is tied for 20th in Division III. Sophomore tailback Kyle Wigley leads Gettysburg and ranks 45th in Division III in rushing with 107.7 yards per game to go with three touchdowns. THE GETTYSBURG DEFENSE
The Bullets are coming off a game against Muhlenberg in which they held they allowed season-lows in rushing offense (192 yards) and total offense (366 yards). For the season, sophomore linebacker Kodie McNamara is the team leader with 73 tackles and he ranks 14th in Division III with 12.2 stops per game. Senior linebacker Cody DiAmore is close behind with 64 tackles and is 37th in Division III with 10.7 per game. Junior defensive end Drew Winters has led the squad with 5.5 sacks and checks in at 40th in the nation with 0.9 sacks per outing. Junior defensive end A.J. Hill has contributed 2.5 sacks and a team-leading 7.5 tackles for loss while sophomore cornerback Brian Calatozzo leads the Bullets and is 12th in Division III in interceptions (four).
THE GETTYSBURG SPECIAL TEAMS
Senior Tommy LeNoir has handled the bulk of Gettysburg's return duties and comes into Saturday's game ranked 22nd nationally in all-purpose yards (166.5 ypg). He has averaged 25.8 yards per kick return, good for 38th in the nation, as well as 8.8 yards per punt return. Sophomore Robby Fay is leading the Centennial Conference and ranks 12th in Division III at 41.5 yards per punt, and junior Matt Perkins is the team's second-leading scorer, posting 34 points while making 22-of-25 extra points and 4-of-7 field goals.
SCOUTING JOHNS HOPKINS
The Blue Jays have cruised to their 6-0 start, winning by an average of 32 points per game. Hopkins has scored over 40 points in its last four outings and finds itself ranked among the Division III leaders in, among other categories, total offense (sixth, 538.5 ypg), total defense (eighth, 243.3 ypg), scoring offense (12th, 44.3 ppg), and scoring defense (12th, 12.8 ppg). The Blue Jays have scored 21 of their 35 offensive touchdowns on the ground and are averaging 261.8 rushing yards per game. Three players have shared duties at running back, and senior JD Abbott leads the team with 81.5 rushing yards per game and seven touchdowns. Sophomore Brandon Cherry has added 78.5 yards per game and four touchdowns while freshman Stuart Walters has contributed 55.8 yards per outing and three TDs. Senior Robbie Matey has thrown for 255.0 yards per game, 13 touchdowns, and just three interceptions while completing 75.3 percent of his passes, which ranks fourth in Division III. Senior Bob D'Orazio leads the Blue Jays with 53.3 yards per game and four touchdowns while sophomore Ryan Finkel has led the team with 25 receptions. Defensively, sophomore linebacker Keith Corliss has led the Jays with 37 tackles while junior defensive end Michael Longo has piled up 8.0 tackles for loss, including 5.5 sacks. Freshman Nick Campbell has kicked the ball well for Hopkins, making all five of his field goal attempts while converting 34-of-35 extra points.
HITTING THE CENTURY MARK
With his final catch against Muhlenberg last week, senior receiver Aden Twer made his 100th career reception to pull into a tie for three-way tie with Bill McGowan '70 and former teammate Brian Betley '11 for fourth on Gettysburg's career list.
THE COACHES
Gettysburg is coached by Barry Streeter, now in his 35th year at the helm of the Bullets and the longest-tenured football coach in Division III. With 177 career victories, Streeter is eighth among active Division III coaches in wins. He is also tied for 21st on the all-time Division III coaches win list. Streeter, who owns a career record of 177-168-5, is Gettysburg's all-time winningest and longest-tenured football coach in program history. In addition, his 107 Centennial Conference football wins are second in conference history.
Jim Margraff is in the midst of his 24th season at Johns Hopkins. He has guided the Blue Jays to a record of 163-81-3 and is the program's all-time winningest coach. Margraff has led Hopkins to at least a share of the last four Centennial Conference titles.
