Box Score
GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Sixth-ranked Johns Hopkins University clinched home-field for the upcoming Centennial Conference Women's Soccer Championship with a 3-0 victory over Gettysburg College Saturday night at Clark Field.

After scoring 22 goals in its previous four contests, Johns Hopkins (15-1-1, 8-0-1 CC) found no give to Gettysburg's (12-2-3, 7-2-1 CC) defense in the opening period. The Blue Jays turned in three shots on goal in the opening frame with sophomore goalie Eliza Gray (South Orange, N.J./Columbia) preserving the scoreless deadlock with a trio of saves.

Gettysburg recorded its first shots early in the second period with a pair of attempts by junior Mary Kamovitch (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe) sailing wide of the mark in the 59th minute.

Later in the frame, Johns Hopkins took advantage of a turnover on Gettysburg's side of the field as Christina Convey intercepted a pass, dribbled around a defender, and connected over Gray for the match's first tally at 69:37.

The Bullets looked for the equalizer in the final minutes of the game following a corner kick. After a quick touch into the field of play, the ball was sent to the far post to sophomore Lauren Schapiro (Stamford, Conn./Stamford) for a header. The attempt went just wide of the right post at 83:09.

The visitors added insurance in the final 1:12 of play with a pair of goals. Hannah Kronick turned in her conference-best 16th goal of the season, while Kelly Baker iced the contest with a goal with 32 seconds left.

Johns Hopkins finished with a 14-3 edge in shots, while Gettysburg led in corner kicks 5-4.

Gettysburg has the next two weeks off before resuming play at the conference tournament. The Bullets will face Haverford College in the semifinals on Nov. 9 at a time yet to be determined.
